7 spices (Middle Eastern)

This spice mix is the most common one in the Middle East. It goes well with Shish kebab (which I make out of vegan mince “meat”).

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp grounded cardamom

  • 2 tsp grounded white pepper

  • 8 tsp grounded black pepper

  • 2 tsp grounded cinnamon

  • 1 tsp grounded nutmeg

  • 2 tsp grounded ginger

  • 4 tsp grounded clove

Directions

  • Mix it all together.
  • Store in a sterilised containter.
  • How to sterilise a container
  • Boil water, put the container/jar and let boil for a minute.
  • Use a tongs or a perforated ladle to lift the container.
  • Let air dry.
  • Do NOT touch the container after it’s been sterilised. Or it won’t be sterilised anymore.

  • Denna krydda är den mest vanliga i Mellanöstern. Passar alldeles utmärkt till bland annat shishkebab som jag gör på vegansk formbar färs.
  • Blanda ihop alla kryddor. Förvara i en steriliserad och lufttät burk.
  • Att sterilisera en burk
    En burk kan steriliseras genom att kokas först och sen låta lufttorka. Använd en tång att hålla med eller en hålslev. Rör INTE inuti burken efter sterilisering.
